Extentions + Weekly Homework = Extra Work

I was sick yesterday sp I ddint go to school today but that's not all!!

I've been chosen to be in the Mathletics*!! How exciting!! But the questions qill be hard and I dont know much. So I am palning on extra learning. Know any sites/people that has the Math knowledge of a 12-14 year old?? Cus I need to learn more so I wont struggle on the questions.

And one more thing is that I have weekly homwork at class. So I have to do som more homework and I also have all my extentions which is Scinece Extention and Wriring Extention. Which means I have to work hard there too... But not on the Science one cus I have a partner to work with.

The sad news is that it means I have to EXTRA EXTRA learning from now on. EXTRA WORK too!! So I wont be able to be as active as I am. Not until... lets see probably... the end of August?? I dunno I'll post here when I am free and not busy anymore. I'll miss you guys!!

*If you dont know, Mathletics is a contest for people who're good at Maths. Here's the content of my information slip:

Mathletics 2006

Catherine has been selected for the Year 7 Mathletics tem competition to be held on Tuesday 1 August at Havelock North Intermediate.

The competetion is held in two parts:

Team Competetion:

Problem Solving:

Students will spend approximately one hour at each venue with a final prize giving in Hall A at approximatelly 8.30pm.

Teams are requested to be at their respective venues by 5.45pm and be seated at their desk no later than 5.50pm to complete their team registration form. Parking could be a problem so be early. Proceeding begin at 6.00 sharp.

Catherine is in St, Joseph's No 1 at desk E2. She will begin with Problem Solving in Havelock North Intermideate Hall A.

Hohoho... thanks guys!! Yeah I can help people!! But I cant give them the answers cus that will be the easy way out. I can be a Mathemagician, mostly not!! Well, I have news about the Mathletics!!

We took another test, I'm in the second group, not the top one. Anyway, we got 128 out of a possible 150. The other group gor 128 too!! Then te year 8s got 30 something out of 150. And the sub team got higher than them!! The year 8s dont have team work. =(

The tacher said that our team (not group), means ALL of us, are one of the best teams of Mathletics she evr had!! Good news ey?? And she also said that she's really excited about the big night.

On other things, the cross sountry is coming... =)

no. Not in my country even. I don't even know what is cross country. I've only heard of it lke in sports competitions.

Oh... Cross country is running. Like running 2 laps or whatever. Maybe even run for 10 minutes. I have managed t run withouth stopping for 3 minutes!! YAY!!

TOMORROW IS MATHLETICS!!

Well, today one of my teamates werent here but we won the contest anyway Icon_favorites49

. We're doing great!! But I'm so nervous my hands are sweating!! I hope he comes tomorrow because we're a team. If he doesnt one of the people in the reserves will have to replace him.

I hope everything will go well, wish me luck, everyone!!

Thanks!! I'm glad that's over with. My group didnt win anything, surprisingly the other group got better than us!!n And we usually beat them, ALL the time!! But we lost agianst them. The winner was Taradale Intermideate School.
