Well you can hardly see in the City Centre..Try to go out of the city..Coz..In Jakarta..I live outta the city..It takes almost 2 hours just to go to the city..Sometimes more!

LOL! Anyways, Singapore is only crammed at peak hours, especially in MRTs! I went to Orchard Road last night for some Christmas light - spotting ( I can say that this year's lighting is very DULL! ) And on the way back we sat ( actually stood) a MRT. We had to stand, and in a SG MRT it's always fun to stand.. =D.

But I didn't move at all, the only times i moved were when the train accelerated and i had to lean toward my left a little to balance. Soooooooooo this resulted me getting strained feet.. argh! I had them all the way when I was walking back to the car! Though I was fine after getting home =D

Zahrah, I was living right in the middle of the Jakarta city in ShangriLa Hotel. The place my dad brought me was very close to where the hotel is. They are living in the city slums. I didn't realize how different our lives were until my dad asked me to look down the 25th floor of the club we belong to. Some people were bathing and washing in the dirty muddy big drainage! Embarassed

It was an eye opener for me.

I don't remember when exactly when my parents showed me city clums in Old Klang Road. The roofs were all made out of aluminium. It must be baking to be under that roof on midday.

Chris, Singapore is small and new. For us European we were kind of sad when the government tore down Bugis Street, Satay Club,...all the old historical places and built new ones on top of them. For me I am educated to identify with heritage and to treasure them.
