Anyway, this is the first post I’m making. So I think that it would be proper if I give you a lowdown on what I plan to post here.

I won’t be posting here daily thoughts or happenings. What I will be posting here are special insights or just some funny stories about my life that I can share. So that’s just it. Simple as that.

Ice Cream Mystery- Funny Story Icon_favorites8

I really have no idea how to start this story. So I guess, I’ll just stare at the computer screen and type nothing. Just kidding. Let’s get serious, shall we? Icon_favorites49

Okay, so here it goes. Icon_favorites8

You see, ice cream, in my opinion, has been part of my family’s diet already. There’s usually ice cream in the freezer. Every time my parents or our household help will go to the grocery, ice cream will most of the time appear on the list of things they plan to buy.
There came a time when somebody bought chocolate ice cream. (I’m not sure who bought it, but I am sure that it would be of no significance if you knew.) Icon_bunny23

So it was eaten by a bunch of hungry people…as usual. We returned the tub of ‘tantalizing treat’ to the fridge. After a few hours or minutes (I’m not sure.), my dad came home from work. He exclaimed in Filipino, “Is the ice cream finished already?” It wasn’t. “How come it’s not here?” We did not know. Golly! Where’s the ice cream????!!!! And here comes a list of suspects… Icon_favorites14

:?: Suspect no. 1- Dad
No. He just came home.
:?: Suspect no. 2- Mom
She was teaching my sister.
:?: Suspect no. 3- ME!!!
Sorry! It is unmistakably not me! Proof? You ask. I WAS SLEEPING when it got lost.
:?: Suspect no. 4- My Sister
Nope! She was being taught by my mom.
:?: Suspect no. 5- My Brother
He was outside, biking. Well, it is possible that he brought the tub outside, right? Yeah, possible. He may be eligible to do so, don’t you think?
:?: Suspect no. 6- My Other Sister
She’s 4 years old. There is no way for a short girl to reach the fridge (unless, of course she uses a chair) and carry the rather heavy tub without dropping it on the floor.
:?: Suspect no. 7- Household Help No. 1
Probable. She was the one who last put into the freezer. NO! She is truthful and she told us that she returned it there! We’ll have to stick to the fact that she is truth-telling.
:?: Suspect No. 8- Household Help No. 2
Nah! She was with my brother and youngest sistah. Besides, somebody trustworthy as her, I don’t think so.

THE CONCLUSION:
That night, the moon was in the sky. Almost everybody was tired, ready for their night sleep. UNTIL… Household Help No. 1 saw that oozing brown liquid in the kitchen. (Background music: JAWS from the movie JAWS) What is it???!!! Drum roll, please! MELTED CHOCO ICE CREAM. Wah! (terrified shriek) Icon_favorites42

The next morning…
Household Help No. 1 told me all about it. But hey! Who would bother to eat it? After it’s been infested by creepy pests (I don’t wish to mention animal names)? I don’t think so.

BUT STILL:
Who put that choco tub there? It doesn’t really matter… Icon_favorites49

World in Chaos-Insights… Please take time to read this… in that country Embarassed

Have you checked out the news recently? Chaotic. Disordered. Disconnected. These are words that can sum what is really happening.
While you stare at this bright computer screen, how many are dying in wars? How many children are being traumatized by dropping bombs? Think of the children your age. While, them… PLEASE!!! THINK!!! PLEASE!!!
One evening, I had been watching the news. Some of you are probably aware of what is happening in the Southern Lebanon. Some country is invading them. Filipinos and people of other nations in that country are being evacuated. I have seen images of children, younger than I, crying on their daddies’ pants. I have also heard of OFW’s waiting for aid from their countries under the scorching sun that burn their skin and make their heads itchy. For once, think! Seriously now, please. Aside from that, I have seen a magazine cover before with a daddy holding pictures of his children whom he had lost in the war.
I have also learned in school all the difficulties civilians are facing. They move from this place to the other to be away from the war. Food shortage. Water that isn’t potable.
You sit there, reading this. You probably get to eat safe food, drink safe water. I think these are like simple luxuries. People in the midst of war don’t get that.
But it’s not all depression. I have seen on TV a bus with Filipino evacuees. They were all waving on the camera. Their faces filled with glee and relief. You should have seen them. No words can possibly describe how they smiled. At least there’s still happiness, right? Amidst all the sadness, fright and chaos there is, there is still hope. Hope. Please pray for them.

I'll be leavin' the forum for a while... EVEN THOUGH I DON'T WANT TO!!!

You see, I strained my eyes on the PC one tiem for like who knows how long. My eyes were sore (like now) Icon_favorites18

. And I really feel I need to make up for that. You know, that urging feeling from within. You probably know that already. Anyway, I'll miss the new buddies I made. I'm a newbie and I'll be on hiatus (I love the word hiatus). Don;t worry I'll be so back....

Number 1: Hiatus
Hmmm… well, I’ll be away for sometime. I really want to make up for that straining- my-eyes-on-the-PC. I really felt awful about that. It’s like something I need to do something about. I mean like a nudging feeling. You know that? Anyway, I’ll be back once I get my own PC or later on or he minute after this. Or no hiatus anymore! Wah! I’m insane! Waha!

Number 2: Callalily, Philippines
Local bands in the Philippines are currently rocking my world! Some Filipinos in the forum are probably familiar with the band Callalily. It’s rockin’ the CD player at the moment. It’s lile the lyrics are stuck in my head! You know what I mean?
Number 3: You rock!
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank thelots of forum people for bein’ great people! Yey! I’m such a sentimental person. Just one reply on my topics or note on whatever and I consider that person to be really special! It’s like an OCD (Obsessive- Compulsive Disorder).

Number 4: I can’t wait!
Christmas is my favorite season of the year. I love it for numerous reasons! You? Can’t wait, too?

Famous Author:I like writing. It’s my way of keeping sane. And I actually dreamed of becoming a popular author wherein there’s this long line of people who want to get their books autographed! HA! Just laugh, wait till it happens! Don’t worry! Once I get my first book published, I’ll put you all on the acknowledgements page! Ha!

HSM:
Sometimes, I pretend to be Gabriella. Crazy as it seems! I mean, when I’m alone in my room, I play my HSM OST. I dance around my room. Jump on the bed and get crazy! Icon_bunny23

Game Show Contestant:I watch this local game show called GAME K N B?. And sometimes, I actually pretend to be the contestants. Crazy? Admit it, you do it sometimes, too! I mean, I pretend to know a lot of facts.

I want to be aninfluential person when I grow up. I want to help lots of people. Here, there! I want to make my country a better place to live in!

Admit it! You daydream, too! Spill it out. I used to keep my daydreams to myself before. But just now that I spilled some, IT FELT GREAT! As in I really want to get to those schoolbooks so that I can make all my dreams come true!

I miss childhood for numerous reasons. Number 1, I miss the times when I still got to play in the playground in McDonald’s! Two, I miss life away from the PC. This is probably another reason for a hiatus. What else? DANCING TO THAT SONG PLAYING IN THE SUPERMARKET! As in! When I was a kid, whenever a song plays in the grocery, I WOULD DANCE!!!! LOL!
