Sir Stamford Raffles(the statue above) was the one who found Modern Singapore.Raffles Place was obviously named after him!

Never heard that song before. I never come to Singapore even I lved in Johore. My parents us to bought my brothers and sister to Singapore when they young. Maybe after I born they don't go there any more. My aunt live in Singapore and I never visit her before. So bad. She always came here. I still love watch singapore channel cos some drama tv more faster then malaysian one. Do you know that long time ago in K.L we still can get singapore channel. Right now I don't know cos my cousin already moved to new house.

This is my brother story. He knew to Singapore national song but cant get malaysian national song. Maybe cos he always watch singapore channel.

Don't you visit Singapore on your own. I mean you are 18 years old right? If I live in Johore Bahru, I would go to Singapore with my friends as often as I can!!! LOL I think Woodlands has the MRT station right?

Don't worry cos my mother don't let me go anyway outsite Johor Bahru by myself. Even singapore is near I still don't want to go there often cos Dollar Singapore more expensive than Ringgit Malaysia. Even go to K.L, I spent RM100 including eatig and fun stuff and others than go to Singapore Maybe need $500 cos so many things want to buy( thats what my freinds said) I not a rich person and I will 18 this august so no money untill I go to unversity this time I only had RM 70 for 2 month. It's mean only had RM 40 cos want to buy top up for my phone[/img]

One of my favorite place to go when in Singapore. The musical fountain is so nice and colorful at night. I like the cable car ride and the mono rail that takes you around part of the island.

Then there is the UNDERWATERWORLD and Dolphin Lagoon. I think the Underwater World in Singapore is one of the best ever in the world but then again I only visited San Francisco's so I can't truly judge but to me it's Icon_emotions16

Shopping street in Singapore. I don't do much shopping in Singapore but a walk through is a must when you visit that island country.

And if you are in Singapore, don't go home without eating the famous "SINGAPORE CHILI CRAB". My favorite place is at East Coast.

The crabs come from Sri Lanka mostly and the pincers are HUGE. I eat at least one for myself. Other style I like would be plain steamed or BBQ.

I think it's called Serangoon. We don't stay in the hotel in Singapore because we have a condo close to Changi Airport. Dad used to go to Raffles Hotel every Sunday to smoke cigars with his buddies! Rolling Eyes

My granny likes to shop in Serangoon road for cloth material. I usually had to tag along Icon_favorites42

and it's booooooring! LOL Nowadays we just stop over for a night in Singapore, dad meets his business associates while mom and I enjoy the pool. In the night it's chili crab. I have to find a picture of my baby cousin hammering on the crab! He was so funny!

I'll go look for it in a short while.

I think so. It's close to Suntec City isn't it? I'm more familiar with Foru Seasons because we like to have steaks there and Goodwood Hotel for the Chinese Dim Sum! LOL
